Purpose
The SFBRN ITS Staff Advisory Council provides a direct voice for staff across CSUEB, SFSU, and SSU. The Council supports open communication, strengthens collaboration, and helps shape a connected, transparent, and high-performing ITS organization.
Objectives
- Represent staff perspectives and experiences
- Provide input and recommendations to ITS leadership
- Promote transparency, trust, and engagement
- Identify opportunities to improve communication, collaboration, and operations
Scope
The Council will provide input on:
- Recognition programs
- Communication and organizational updates
- Staff engagement and team-building opportunities
- Professional development
- Operational challenges and opportunities for improvement
- Cross-campus collaboration
- Additional staff feedback and ideas
Membership
- Two representatives from each ITS unit, across all campuses
- Members may be self-nominated, nominated by peers, or volunteered by Directors
- Terms rotate every 12 months
- Members are expected to represent their units and actively contribute
Structure & Meetings
- Meets monthly for 50 minutes with ITS leadership (Amanda, Twinki, CIO)
- Over time, co-chaired by a staff representative and an ITS Director
- Agendas include both leadership priorities and staff-driven topics
